Comparison: Amibroker and Metatrader

Metatrader

1. Metatrader is complete brokerage complex with full back office back end
2. Metatrader can't be connected your Real time feed direct from client end and feed is always restricted to what your broker provides.
3. A good custom indicator support is there based on MQ4 and trader can opt same for development for automatic trading strategies directly in platform
4. Backtester and genetic optimization for optimization stuff
5. Simple and Free client end and very user friendly even in few hours of 1st look around platform
6. A neat and clear charting features suffice above average purposes.


Amibroker

1. Amibroker a decent charting package and you can't trade straight from Amibroker or process your orders
2. External datafeed can be connected via local databases and plugins, so leaves some choice for selection of feed the client wish
3. AFL based coding and back testing possible, but not sure how accurate is its backtester 
4. Scanners avaliable
5. Simple and neat interface

Google/Yahoo Intraday Datafeed through Amiquote


Today i crossed over the  Amiquote with Google/Yahoo Intraday Datafeed. Amiquote lifetime license cost just $65. Save your bills!
It i available in Amiquote3.3
Google Intraday Limitations:
1)Only 1-minute and 5-minute intraday bar intervals are supported
2)The backfill covers upto 15 most recent days backill data for 1-minute bars and upto 60 most recent days back for 5-minute bars
Only regular trading session is included
3)You need to be registered user of AmiQuote to use Google Intraday download.
Yahoo Intraday Limitations:
1)Only 1-minute and 5-minute intraday bar intervals are supported
2)The backfill always covers just one most recent day back for 1-minute bars and upto 5 (five) most recent days back for 5-minute bars
3)Only regular trading session is included
4)You need to be registered user of AmiQuote to use Yahoo Intraday download.
If you are having the licensed version of amibroker then download and upgrade your amiquote’s new version which supports google/yahoo intraday datafeed and enjoy it by saving huge amount of montly payments to other 3rd party softwares which provides similar service.
But the problem is timestamp for indian stockmarket in Google data feed.Need to do some changes in database settings.
